TSSP Internship
Retention Project
The Transfer Collective component will create the Transfer Student Support Program (TSSP) which offers personal support in a group setting, as well as one-on-one. It allows new students to become familiar and utilize resources on and around campus to ultimately guide students towards a four year degree.
TSSP requirements
- Must maintain a 2.5 GPA
- Complete 2 tutoring/study hours a week through the SRRC study hall, The Lounge
- Seek 1 hour of assistance at TA/ Professor Office hours per week for each class.
- Attend all TSSP workshops and 1 SRRC activity each quarter.
- Attend one of two biweekly meetings for the TSSP
- Complete 3 hours of TSSP/SRRC service (i.e. help with TSSP or any SRRC activity
Transfer Student Support Program Goals for the Academic Year of 2009-2010
- It is the goal of TSSP for the academic year to foster a feeling of community within the Transfer students. To help navigate this large research University, and to offer support in any way possible.
Fall 2009
- Navigating the resources: an in-depth look at research (November 4th 2009)
- Relaxing night: De-stressor
Winter 2010
- Involvement on campus: Internships, volunteer, clubs, and jobs
- Party Safely: the must know tips for getting around Davis
- Meet and Greet with established transfer students, faculty, and current students
- Relaxing night: De-stressor
Spring 2010
- Graduate School: The must know tips for applying and getting in
- Transfer Student Support Program BBQ

Outreach/Recruitment Project
- To develop and retain a partnership with community college representatives and students to offer the best possible services to community college students who desire to transfer to a four year institution
